Getting started

1 July 2013 No Comment

You clearly want to have an accountant who is going to look after you and who understands your business, and that’s why we focus on the Tech sector. It’s a field where we have accounting expertise and some technical expertise. In order that a good working relationship can be established, there are some basic guidelines that you should be aware of, even if your business is not quite able to meet them all just yet.

All businesses need time to build up to a “critical mass” and you’ll find that we have some flexibility in following these guidelines.

See how many of these questions lead you to the answer “yes”.

  1. Do you work in the Tech sector in general? We specialise in software developers, web designers and allied fields.
  1. Are you a “digital native” or are you happy to work with accountants who do everything electronically?
  1. Are you running a UK limited company?
  1. Is the company VAT registered?
  1. If your company is not VAT registered, are you making sales of £50,000 or more per year, and would you like to hit the £80,000 target?

Even if you’re not quite there yet, we may still be able to help. This process is not intended to filter out proper, serious businesses. If you think that your business will grow over the next 12 months and get closer to these targets, then we’d love to hear from you.
